Good news today of a £22 million flood defence scheme for Exeter.

Along with many other MPs I spoke in the Equal Marriage debate on the 5th of February, my speech can be found below. I am pleased to say the bill was passed with huge majority of 400-175.

I have been following the horse meat burger issue very closely, below are the questions I have put to the Government about this matter in the last month.

Every Tory MP in Devon and Cornwall voted against Labour’s motion criticising the Government’s plan for regional pay last night and in favour of the Government’s amendment – with the exception of Truro’s Sarah Newton, who doesn’t appear to have voted at all.

It’s been obvious since the BSkyB bid scandal blew up that Cameron wouldn’t sack Hunt.

Exeter escaped by a whisker. We might not be so lucky next time. The Environment Agency says our 1960s flood defences are no longer adequate for the more frequent and serious flooding caused by climate change.
